Maui Wildfire Relief

In the face of adversity, the spirit of aloha will shine even brighter during the Maui wildfire relief effort.

As we stand united against the recent devastating wildfire that swept through the beloved town of Lahaina and other areas of Maui, we’re reminded of the strength and compassion that define our community.

Jill and I both woke up to the smell of fire that day. Seeing the orange glow behind the upcountry forest was ominous, but it wasn’t until I saw the first images of the Lahaina destruction did my heart begin to sink. There were a few moments of “this can’t be right” before acceptance. Never in my life could I have imagined such a hellish inferno unleashed upon such a peaceful community.

Each of us can help in our own way. We each have a unique skillset that can contribute to the Maui wildfire relief effort. This week I have looked within to figure out how to best help out with my own strengths.

Maui CFO is a local based Fractional CFO firm deeply committed to supporting our community. It didn’t take long before moving here to realize that Maui is just “different” than the rest of the country. Its beauty is unrivaled, and the feeling of ohana is something I’ve never experienced, but yes, Maui is behind in a lot of areas. Business processes, education, infrastructure – the list goes on. This is rural America, so please be gentle and compassionate when criticizing our community and Leaders during this time. One thing is certain though, the people of Lahaina and Maui will come together and rise like a Phoenix from the glowing embers.

To ensure Maui CFO’s actions match our words, we’ve decided to donate the entire first month of service revenue for each client to aid a local charity dedicated to relief to the victims and restoration of our community.

If you are a business on the cusp of growing and scaling, this moment offers a dual opportunity. By partnering with us, not only will you be extending a helping hand in the Maui wildfire relief effort, but you will also be investing in a future where your own financial strategies will be shaped using streamlined analysis and intelligence. A new focus on your future will change how decisions are made in order to meet your goals.

This is not just a corporate initiative. This is a genuine, heartfelt promise from our entire team and business partners to stand shoulder to shoulder with you as we brace this storm. Together, we can rebuild, recover, and rekindle the spirit of aloha.

The charities we will be working with are very reputable and cover various facets of rebuilding. Please consider selecting from this list:

  • Maui Food Bank’s mission is to help the hungry in Maui County by collecting and distributing food through community partnerships.
  • Maui Humane Society’s mission is to protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals, accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals.
  • Habitat for Humanity Maui‘s mission is to build decent housing and to renovate substandard housing on Maui in partnership with community volunteers and potential homeowners so that homelessness and substandard housing is eliminated on Maui.
  • Maui Historical Society‘s mission is to preserve Hawaiian artifacts and historic documents pertaining to Hawaiian history and to display and interpret Maui’s early culture.
  • Maui Economic Development Board‘s mission is to provide leadership and vision in our community for the responsible design and development of a strong, sustainable, and diversified economy for Maui County.

Mahalo for your continued support and strength. Let’s write a new chapter of resilience and hope together.
